A Day at the Steinhart Aquarium...or maybe not

Every 3rd Wednesday of each month the Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco is FREE! Yep, you read that right...FREE. So I thought I'd take advantage of saving a bunch of money and head over with the kids. Little did I know that ALL of SF would be there too. The line to get in had to be at least a mile long. I'm not exaggerating. The amount of people flooding to the end of the line, which was no where in sight, was astonishing.

We decided we would walk around the park a bit to see if the line would shrink. So we headed over to the Japanese Tea Gardens. I had been there once when I was a little girl and thought the kids may enjoy it. I was very pleasantly surprised that they LOVED it. Who knew?!

After walking the Gardens for awhile we headed out to check the line...it was just a long. So now what? Wait? It was chilly and we were in shorts and flip flops. Plus there was no guarantee that we would even get it as they only allow so many in at a time. We decided to ditch the museum and head to Six Flags. We were still educated on animals, and rode some rides too.

Even though we didn't do what we had planned and were excited about we still had a blast being together.
