Life in a House of ALL boys!

So as you can imagine my life is never dull. Being the only female in our house keeps me on my toes. Between Hot Wheels left laying on the floor for my feet to step on, Star Wars fanatics, numerous bodily noises followed by giggles, dirt, dirt and did I say dirt?, my life is full of fun (well at least most the time!)

Joel and I finally purchased Mountain Bikes so we can...ahem...get into back into shape. Now this may come as a surprise to a lot of you, but I enjoy getting dirty off the trail. Yes, I know when I go camping it takes me a day to get into the dirty thing and stop washing my feet with baby wipes, but really, I do like it. Maybe not ALL the time, but I do like it, especially when it has to do with my boys.

Back to the bikes...we have been going out almost every night as a family, or just Joel and I when Nic has gone to bed. We ride a trail near our house which has a dry creek bed along it. It has been fun to go off the trail and down some impressive slopes, if I do say so myself. What has made it even better is being with the family. It is so cool to be behind them all and see us all doing something together that we actually ALL enjoy. Nic has been the funnest to watch. He is still on training wheels and has been riding off the trail. It's really funny to watch.

But it's not all about dirt. I have had to endure numerous talks about Motorcycles. Joel has the Bike Bug REAL bad. We have been to so many bike shops, websites, movies, you name it that honestly I know more than I'd like to. It un-nerves me to think about him on a bike, but hey, I got to let the guy live, right? He and my Dad spent the 4th at Laguna Seca at the MotoGP Races. That did not help to ease the desire. If anything it lit a fire under him to get one sooner.

The Bike he wants...but won't get if I have my way!

But it isn't always about Boys in the Jackson House. This coming weekend my Mom and I get to have our Girl Time at the Women of Faith Conference. I'm looking forward to getting away and being a Girl for a while. The guys? Let's just say I don't care what they do as long as the house is clean when I get back.
