Another ThankFULL Day

Today was just one of those challenging child days.  I have to admit I lost it a few times. However, on my way to get David from school I was hit with a thought.  One I had thought of MANY times, but today in the midst of a storm of frustration, it grounded me again.  I get to be with my kids all day.  Not many get to.  I get to be the one to make the lasting impression on them.  I get to be the one who guides them in the ways of our Lord.  I'm the one who teaches them how to react to others.  So am I reacting like God wants them to react?  Not always.  And then when they start to resemble what they see me do...it scares me.  Then I realize I really messed up.  So I try to correct myself and teach them (and me) how to do it in a God-pleasing way.  I want to parent with no regrets, which I do know is almost impossible.

So, with that...today here is what we are thankFULL for...

Kelly:  That I get to stay home with our boys all day and not have to work outside the home.  (What a blessing!  Even in those challenging days like today!)

David:  I'm thankful for my Church Home Group.

Connor:  I'm thankful that I could hand out invitations to my friends for my Birthday party.

Nicholas:  I'm thankful that I love God.  I just love Him so very much!  And for Hannah who comes to play.

Joel:  I'm thankful for the house full of 6th grade boys that love the Lord.
