Not your average Nook

Nestlenook Farm...not your average Nook.

Well if you consider it a "nook and cranny" it's not.  I've never been somewhere like this before.   The closest is Disneyland at Christmas, but even that does not compare to the magical feeling you get here at Nestlenook.  Sleigh rides, Ice Skating (which was closed because of the "warm" day we had before we went that made it not quite as safe), lights, snow, hot chocolate, and Buddy.

Buddy was the dog that lives at the farm that the 5 kids (and a few adults) fell in love with.  We have no idea what his real name is, but Buddy just seem to fit.  He was a great dog.  He loved playing with the kids and didn't seem to mind having snowballs thrown at him.  He had some serious hops too.  Never seen a dog jump like that...especially to catch a snowball.  He was great and there was some sadness when we left that he couldn't come with us.  I'm not quite sure who was more sad.  Buddy or the kids.  He followed us almost the whole way back to the car.

Well, Buddy wasn't the only one we met at Nestlenook.  Meet Dick and Jack.

Dick and Jack pulled our sleigh.  Yep...a sleigh.  What a fun experience.  Oh and we did sing Jingle Bells (ya know....oh what fun it is to ride in a one two horse open sleigh).  Quite cliche if you ask me, but hey, it had to be done.  Here is some of our fun shots from the sleigh ride.

It was a glorious place.  I'll leave you with a few more shots of our time at Nestlenook Farms.  And if you ever get the chance to visit...do it.  You won't be disappointed.
