Celebrate...

You're the one that made us parents.

You made Grandparents.

You love to have fun.
You have always loved video games.
You rock at being a big brother.
You make us proud.

We love you so much David.  We are so proud to be your family.
We have been blessed to have you in our lives.

Happy 12th Birthday David!

Love,
Your Family

Note:  David's actual birthday was June 2nd.  I'm a little behind these days.

Cowboys

Last weekend was the 92nd Annual Livermore Rodeo.

It was the first time that we went to part of it after living here for over 3 years.  We have wanted to go, but it's quite expensive.  But on Thursday, the first night of the events, it was Family Free Night.  So, when our friend Pat invited us to go with her and her daughter Hannah we jumped on the chance.

Now granted it wasn't the full rodeo, no Bull Riding (which the boys were seriously disappointed about) or Barrel Racing but we did get to see some Team Roping,

  Wild Cow Milking

and the Diablo Ladies Drill Team.

It was fun had by all.

Love my boys!

 My word he is handsome!

What a difference

What a difference a few years and the right clothes make.  I just came across this video from a few years back that made me laugh and cry all at the same time.  To see my boys so little made my heart wrench, but this day was so fun for Joel and I and made some great memories for the two of us.  As you can see the boys were wearing sweats and rain boots to play in the snow.  Before you make any judgements, let me state:  Our kids had never been to the snow before this point.  We, not having a lot of money to spend on the right snow apparel, decided to do a test run with what we DID have.  So, here you go.

How sweet to hear their little voices again. And Nic's little cry...so cute! Time goes so fast. Here are some pictures of that day too.

Now compare those to our most recent trip to the snow this winter in New Hampshire...see any difference?

Moral of the story...Children are much happier playing in the snow when they have the proper clothing.

Absolutely....

It sure was worth climbing 294 stairs, around in a circle to get to the top of this...

Bunker Hill Monument

to see Boston like this...

and this...

and this...

It was worth the climb.  Just ask Nic.

And once I got passed this...

I thought it was worth it too!

I owe it all to one of my best cheerleaders...

...because without him, I couldn't have done it!
Thanks Dad!
Not only did you have me smiling half way....

...you still have me smiling!

Was it worth it?

This isn't who you think it is

We aren't Joseph and Mary.  We aren't on our way to visit a new born babe.  We are just passing through the cute little town of Bethlehem, NH.

On a cold and windy day

On a cold and windy day, somewhere on the coast of Maine.  Ok well, actually it was Kennebunkport, ME.  I love this town.  Just a small fishing town.

Full of history...

Lobster...

Celebrities... The Bush's
(ok, so they aren't here now but they do own this...)

A lone Tree in a boat...

What's not to love about Kennebunkport?  Our family sure did!
